Sole Proprietorship · Raison individuelle · Ditta individuale
An Einzelunternehmen (sole proprietorship) is not a separate legal entity under Swiss law. The owner (Inhaber) and the business are legally one and the same person.
Under Swiss law, an Einzelunternehmen has no legal personality distinct from its owner. Any shares held are legally owned by the individual (Inhaber) in their personal capacity — confirmed by ZGB systematics, the Federal Supreme Court, and Swiss commercial-law doctrine.
The flow is the same for everyone — personal account first, then continue. Step 1: open your free personal account; you, the owner, verify with a personal KYC via bLink (no corporate KYB — the firm is not a separate legal entity). Step 2: continue and connect your Einzelunternehmen business account (Geschäftskonto) — a separate account in the firm's name — and record your firm. You stay personally liable; the shares are legally your personal property. (No Geschäftskonto yet? Connect a private account.)
